Creating a Portfolio for a Digital Design Agency

Andresen Digital is a design agency split between two distinct divisions - A San Francisco based Print shop and a digital media production studio based in Los Angeles. Andresen contacted us to design and develop a new portfolio site for their digital media work as well as provide an entry point for both of their web properties. In addition to building a custom Next.JS application to showcase their digital media work we developed a custom splash screen that gives users central access to both division's subdomain sites, creating a more unified user experience while allowing each department to maintain their own unique style and sub-branding.

Project Details

Approach

This web development project involves creating a statically generated portfolio and brand site using Next.js, hosted on Vercel. The site will dynamically pull content from .mdx files, allowing for easy management of both markdown content and React components within the same files. The use of Vercel's platform ensures optimized performance and seamless deployment.

Technical Implementation

  • React and Next.js: Enable efficient component-based architecture and server-side rendering.
  • TypeScript: Provides strong typing for reliable and maintainable code.
  • TailwindCSS: Facilitates rapid and responsive design.
  • Framer Motion: Integrates sophisticated animations and transitions.

Summary

This website showcases my approach to utilizing top-tier solutions to craft seamless, interactive user interfaces tailored to specific use cases.
